Album Notes
Kyle found a brand new muse for this batch of songs. Welcome to a fun, funky rhythm and groove sound.

"If You Only Knew" begins the new sound with a smooth, R&B styled blues tune. The story of the song has a nice twist at the end.

"Good Thing" tells the story of distance love. Written with some hidden meanings, this song is great to tell someone how good they are to you.

"Under Your Feet" channels some Stevie Wonder to create a blues track with a ton of groove. I got you, and I mean it.

"Slow (It Doesn't Matter)" is a slow, slightly jazzy song that describes how, around certain people, time just flies by quickly and you wish things would slow down.

Ever know someone who is a master at the one word, ambiguous reply? "One Word" tells that story.

"It's A Shame" is another song straight from the new muse. It's a shame we didn't figure this out before tells it all.

Similar to a song from Kyle's album Hallowed, "Could Be Why" brings up asking a question you already know the answer to--go ahead and ask because you know the answer.

"Sad Songs Are So Easy To Write" channels Johnny Cash outlaw style country. Inspired by a social media post, this song tells a story where things go south a thousand ways.

Describing a character that is there when you need them, "What I Do" is being there, just for you.

Following the statement that every American songwriter needs a train song, "I Am Broken" tells about a train ride away from your troubles.

"One More Day" combines elements of Chicago and Texas blues with a dash of Mississippi and Led Zeppelin thrown in for good measure.

To wrap up the album are some bonus tracks. There's a remix of "Good Thing" that gives the song a different feel. There are four live tracks from a featured songwriter show recorded in the summer of 2015.
