Album Notes
Very funny Australian kids comedy. These stories are in the form of a conversation between a naughty 3 year old boy and his father. Kym Lardner voices both characters. His mimicry of a three year old boy is spookily real and made funnier by the reactions of the long suffering father character.

Kym has been performing these original stories in front of thousands of Australian primary school kids since 1980 and is very famous in schools downunder.

This 65 minute CD is a compilation of his best dialogues and was recorded with a very lively audience of Aussie kids in the studios of Australia's public broadcaster ABC.

This is the first time they have been released in the U.S.

We laughed so much we were crying.
Dear Kym
We listened to your story CD on the way home from the coast yesterday, and
we laughed so much we were crying. Daddy had to stop driving because he
couldn't see. Mum was crying too, and i laughed so much my throat is sore
today and I had to stay home from school. Thank you for making us laugh so
much, because usually the drive home from the coast is long and boring. We
love the stories of you when you were three.
Love from Mitchell Sweeting (6)

They listen to it morning, noon and night.
Hi Kym, I know you must hear this all the time, but my boys - Hamish 8 & Declan 4 are laughing hysterically as I type, listening to your CD stories of fathers and sons. They just love it. They listen to it morning, noon and night and even have had a couple of friends over to listen to it too. It is well past bedtime and the boys have successfully negotiated to listen to the CD 'quietly' in bed while waiting for slumber to descend! As for the big picture - happy kids mean happy parents and happy families bursting with love. And isn't there a saying that 'it takes a village to raise a child'? Every village needs a storyteller. Welcome to our village!! Just delightful. cheers, Ursula

Kids can't get to sleep - we need some Kym Lardner material!!
Dear Kym, It's solstice day here in UK - very hot evening - kids can't get to sleep - we need some Kym Lardner material!! Seriously though, we have had alot of fun with your CD 'Father and Son Stories'. We had a marvellous trip to Australia (in Nov - March 05) and found your great CD's in Perth. (I was trying to find something for last Christmas to buy on behalf of a very English Uncle just emigrated to Oz, and it might have been another tape of 'Wind in the Willows' - however I was luckily sidetracked by your CD's and never looked back!!) Nick our youngest is 8 (9 in 10 days time), loves your stories to bits, has an uncanny grasp of your accent and has us all in hysterics! (We have two other sons - twins of 11!) We have obviously been back in the UK a while now - loved our trip and played your CD regularly - it was on constantly in the camper in NZ! Thanks for all the laughs. Louise and Peter Baber

A firm favourite in our household
Thanks to Kym for the hours of laughter he has given our family - the McMuscles story is a firm favourite in our household. There is nothing more joyous than the sound of two children (and Mum and Dad) absolutely killing themselves laughing.

THE kids and I LOVE this CD and I NEED MORE here in the STATES we need these CDs they are terrific! I LOVED THEM MY KIDS LOVED THEM and we listen to them every day since we got them LOVE IT LOVE IT WANT MORE!!

I would love to hear more
My daughter and I heard Kym tell a story on an Air New Zealand flight. The story was on a loop with other children's stories and songs, we must have listened to that story five or six times and we laughed everytime we heard it. I bought Father and Son Stories for my daughter for Christmas and we have been laughing ever since.

it was sooooooooooooooo funny.

bloody hilarious!
This CD is bloody hilarious!!! And i reckon it's as much for parents (or anyone who has spent time around little kids, for that matter). I laughed so much, i wet my pants...seriously. And what's more, i have heard it now soooooo many times, and as i tuck my little ones into bed (the cd playing), i suddenly realise i am sitting on the bed giggling, unwilling to leave the hilarity of Kim's magic. My 5 year old son laughs himself to sleep.
I am an Aussie, and i can't believe i had never heard of Kim Lardner before. EVERYONE (young and old) should have a Kim Lardner CD!!!

listening to Kym in Paris
Hi Kym,
I just had to write to tell you that I am soooo sick of hearing your voice.
We are a family from Perth traveling around for 14 months and 4 months
into the trip we were in Barcelona and met a family from Switzerland
living in Spain. We became great friends and they asked if we had heard of Kym Lardner. We hadn't so they sat us down and we listened to you. That was the end of our sanity. We listen to your tapes almost daily now. Really...thank you for the hours (and hours) of pleasure you have given Scarlett (3) Bronte (7) and Ellie (11) Katrina (21+) and Dad (40 something) Cheers and hope to hear some more in the future.
