Album Notes
Geoff Kraly and Benjamin Scheuer (writer of the hit musical comedy Jihad: The Musical) teamed up to make 'First Lady Clown' with their new band Lady Clown. The quirky, smart album moves deftly from the winding portrait of broken leadership in “Calling All Cars” to the shattering personal intimacy of “Fathers’ Day” using fresh melodies and needle-sharp lyrics. Their songs and stories offer psychological and social commentary that holds a well-lit mirror to the listener. Benjamin and Geoff produced 'First Lady Clown' with veteran producer Peter Denenberg (Deep Purple, Spin Doctors, Martin Sexton). Driving the album’s arrangements is young power-house drummer Josh Dion.
