Album Notes
We are so proud to share with you our first studio album, Feeling Good! Thank you for taking part in this tremendous moment for our band, Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles, and the Chicago LGBT community.

We've selected some of the best tunes from our repertoire for you to enjoy, with a focus on classic, crowd-pleasing favorites. Yet throughout history, gays and lesbians were marginalized by society and unable to publicly express themselves for loving who they love, for being who they are. Our album is an effort to reclaim our history, re-envisioning lyrics of a bygone era through the lens of the LGBT experience. You'll hear our trademark twist on some of the lyrics, with pronouns flipped to represent our community and relationships with powerful, beautiful intimacy.

Our recording is testament to the huge strides in artistry, precision and impact the jazz orchestra has made in the last few years, and we are happy to share with you the results of our labor. We are proud to present to you our very best talents, and hope the message of love and tenderness resonates with you each and every listen.
