ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With humble beginnings from Singapore, mastermind multi-instrumentalist Danny Jacob formed Lamentations in 2013. The band has grown, featuring members of Monotheist (Prosthetic) and Thy Antichrist (Napalm), who have contributed to the growth and maturity of the song writing. Heavily inspired by Progressive and Death metal bands such as Cynic and Opeth, Lamentations brings their own flavour to the dish with technical riffing, ethereal acoustic guitars and a unique sense of harmony, inspired by the likes of Extol and Obscura. Their debut album ‘Echoes in the Wind’ (2016) compromised of many eastern elements while still retaining the taste of Progressive Death.

Equipped with a new single, their first piece of music in three years, ‘Anew’ will shine a bright light on the scene and will show the metal world what’s to come with a future album release. Mixed by Jack Daniels (War of Ages/Fleshkiller) and mastered by John Douglass (Amon Amarth/Cognizance).
