Album Notes
World to Me captures the simplicity of an acoustic guitar. The foundation of these tracks is purely a six string vibrating. The sticks and bricks that build the rest of the album off the foundation to become a complete home are the slaps and taps of a djembe drum. Mark Bauer (percussion) approaches his instrument with great thought to add just the right spice to each tune. The song “One Thing” finds a cello adding a bass line while Mark adds not only one track, but a layer of three to find the feel of a jam session. This album was recorded as a live feel with most tracks done in one take, overdubbing a few thrills and fills here and there. “World to Me” is still Lance’s most requested song during a live show. The song embraces the idea that your own advice sometimes becomes your best advice, and offers an inspirational look that you will be somebody. This album is a fun collection of songs to enjoy around the campfire.
