Album Notes
Welcome to the LRD story and how it all began. In the late 80’s going into music college was not the best choice for anyone, or even art school. As it probably seems today as well, after all who needs art or music right? In 1992 Lance released his own recordings, this was of course after many club dates, countless jam sessions, and of course loads and loads of guitar practice, and theory study. The early days of the L.R.D. Band were with college mate Dan Yaremko on Bass of (DOA and Econoline Crush) and friend and drummer Tim Sommers. Many great showcases in clubs were had with these three good old friends, and supportive players, this was the first incarnation of L.R.D. Band, they called it “BIG DEAL’

Re-mastered and re-released at DEELEEBOB Music Studio Seoul, Korea in digital format is the original first album by L.R.D. A few changes to note are the re-recordings of Green Fingers, Mr. Happy, and Blue Sunset. As the original tracks have shown up on previous L.R.D. releases. And these songs have continued in the live L.R.D. instrumental sets over the years, and it does show some evolution in the songs and the live changes that were made along the way since 1992.
In these three re-incarnation’s drummer Karl Auger from Quebec has played his part,
along with Bassist David Dauberman from Syracuse.

“A few months back, a home-made tape by a local musician named Lance Reegan-Diehl found its way onto my desk. I’d never heard of the guy before, but from the photo on the tape’s cover—of a smiling longhair in a studded leather jacket, dangling a custom-made Strat by its whammy bar—it looked like yet another offering from the would-be guitar-god set. But as soon as I heard Reegan-Diehl’s music, I realized he was the real thing…… Steve Newton”

Over the years Lance has performed alongside many great Vancouver acts, Commodore Ballroom, Town Pump, Club Soda, opening spots for Greg Howe, Precious Metal (female metal band), club winner of Labbatt’s Blue Guitar Warz, Toronto’s ‘Hugh’s Room” for the Toronto Blue Society, artist and guitar spotlight player for Olympia, Samick, Graphtech, Sound Drive amplifiers, and Swing Guitars. He is an endorsed guitar player among the names of endorsers such as Guthrie Govan and Jeff Watson of Night Ranger. In Korea the 1999 jazz/rock fusion release had made it’s way to friend Tommy Emmanuel, and eventually lead to session work with major record companies in Korea and Japan - Sony, EMI, Ivy Music, SM entertainment, TN Network, and a host of televised and stadium shows. Most notable Korean singer BOA Kwon, one of the top selling Korean female singers of all time.

Lance Reegan-Diehl (LRD) is a guitarist with several studio/live albums to his credit, the most recent 1992 re-release of Widgets and Wooden Nickels, and the 1999 From Canada on Monk Munch Records, Korea. His music work in and out of the studio is a testament to his talent and affinity for creating magic and transferring it to the listener via the digital and analog methods, live performances, and clinics. Lance is the epitome of the indie artist with the necessary fortitude and drive to succeed in a competitive market. He is the consummate musician, producer, clinician, businessman, and an example to anyone that wants to succeed in the music industry.

The L.R.D. Band has survived intact since the year 2000 in Korea, and is made up of:
Lance Reegan-Diehl - Guitar/Vocals/Synths
David Dauberman – Bass
Megan Kim – Vocals
Karl Auger on drums.
Having a solid group to work with allows for exposure and a broader audience appeal. This year see’s the band making some new material for the road, and new recordings for the LRD fans out there. With performance’s for Armed Forces Entertainment.

Lance’s inspiration has a foundation in music and spirituality. His belief is to transfer his enlightenment through music and words. Lance is in a perpetual state of creativity-writing, engineering, and producing other artists while working on his new productions. This process allows continual development to take hold and blossom for him and others that are fortunate enough to be exposed and influenced by this rare far reaching knowledge. Never one to stand still or find complete satisfaction with his efforts, Lance continues to study and explore every type of music and recording technique in order to improve and move his understanding and interpretations to another level.

Lance incorporates an original unification of styles and ideas to create an individual sound found in his music, sessions, and TV/movie spots. When he is not hard at work in the studio, he is touring as a solo artist or in his band L.R.D. globally. Being the headliner or in an opening spot for major selling artists, Lance and his Band embark in 2009 to perform in 8 different countries this year. He is also still involved in Korea’s own K-Pop music scene. Doing the studio work and performing guitar on 5 number one hits from 2002 to 2007, Lance is no stranger to Channel V spotlight, MTV, or televised concerts in front of thousands.

In addition to being the ultimate musical multi-tasking magician in the studio and onstage, he passes on his gift as a music teacher and clinician. Lance works from a place that has a strong foothold and understanding of all aspects of music and how the listener perceives it. His lecture topics include dealing with the music business, getting along with people in very close quarters, and ultimately understanding the language of the musician. Swing Guitars, Sound Drive Amplification, Olympia Straps and Strings, Keipro and wired Music, along with Graphtech have endorsement agreements with Lance. They have their products represented in all L.R.D. promotions, products, clinics, and concerts. The story continues. Enjoy the Widgets, and turn it up!!!!
