ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This new singer/songwriter and acoustic guitar player broke on to the NW music scene Spring 2004. He is promoting and playing from his debut CD, "PARKROSE", which was produced by the talented hands and minds at Spiral Studios in St. George, Utah.

Lapray's music is accurately described in the August 2005 edition of the Salem Monthly with Aaron Kelly's review of the album, "Lapray's vocals are strong, with a sound that reminds me of James Taylor. But his sound goes beyond a Taylor rip-off as he crafts his own folk-rock from diverse influences."

Also, check out what people are saying about him in the reviews below. Then come to one of his live shows ... what most are referring to as simply "GOOD TIMES!"

You can listen to this CD all the way through!
My personal favorite is Sacred Ground, however, as the header suggests, all of Jon's songs are easy to listen to. It's music that is positive and it's appropriate to play around your kids. In fact, my daughter knows the words to almost every song!!

INSPIRATIONAL AND EXCELLENT LISTENING!!!
I really enjoyed the sound of Jon Lapray and the lyrics in his music. It isn't often that music contains such emotion and feeling, but when it does it is unique. I especially liked the song "Dad" which I related to another member of my family that I admired and passed on. Thanks Jon, and continue the great sound you create!

Definately a CD you will keep in your player
Definately a cd that I will keep in heavy rotation in my car. I found myself singing along after just a few plays. I would classify it as folk rock. My favorites are: Sacred Ground, Fisherman's Bend, and Cheers. I'm sure I will be playing "Cheers" a lot around the holidays, a good party song no matter what the level of the party. Bronco's don't take no UNGHH jive..........

Great, easy listening CD with excellent lyrics
This CD has a variety of easy listening tunes. The lyrics have a lot of feeling in them that makes it seem very personal. It reminds me of James Taylor or a little of Jim Croce. I love this CD and have listened to it nearly every day for the past three weeks!

Catchy lyrics that will Move your Soul
Jon's lyrics are inspiring and come from his heart. I feel moved as I listen to his music and find myself singing the songs to myself throughout the day. I really like "My Oregon" I can almost see the beautiful places he is describing in my mind and can smell the clean mountain air. "Sacred Ground" is a great tune as well with a catchy chorus. Keep it up Jon!
