Album Notes
Honoured as a "world class jazz singer" for her "spellbinding voice" and "boldly unique style" (−Everett. R. Praised for "her outstanding musicianship", (−Thomas Cunniffe, Jazz History Online), for her "poetic, impressionistic lyrics" (−Jazziz Magazine) and "understanding of the most subtle nuances in lyrics and melody" (−Stanley Péan, Espace Musique/Radio Canada), Lara was 1 of 3 finalists in the Révélations Radio- Canada 2014 competition, jazz artist category. Her 2014 sophomore album "Whose Shadow?" (Inner Circle Music), has been #1 on Radio Canada and CBC jazz charts, and in the top 20 on international jazz web radio charts.
