ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Laszlo was a band that was formed in the late 1990s in Denton, Texas. The band played music written by guitarist Jerome Covington and featured Norah Jones on vocals, Aaron Crouch on keyboard, vibraphone and samples, Marc Rogers on electric bass and Bill Campbell on drums.

Their music referenced hip-hop bass lines, jazz harmonies and the textures of rock. Lyrical content varied, but often drew from themes of transient beauty and the delicate and sometimes volatile nature of personal relationships.

The band recorded an album towards the end of their career entitled Butterflies.

Awesome collaboration
Just ordered the CD. Used to listen to the songs online many years ago, so glad to come across it again. Not ashamed to say, In A Whisper gives me goosebumps. I appreciate perfection, and this is it.

A fantastic, innovative, piece of work!
I had heard this album ages ago through a friend of mine who gave me a worn out cassette tape. Even then I fell in love with the tracks on the album - this is why I have been waiting, patiently (well not at all patiently really) for this CD release!

Great musicianship, wonderful writing and with Norah Jones as the icing on the cake!

Nice one Jerome - well done that man!

A wonderful dream state

Laszlo Butterflies are free
Wonderfully creative and lively dream states come to life. This is like jazz meeting underground rock and freedom personified. Very creative approach to music reaching in to the area of New contribution to Art itself. Great music and creativity.
