ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
LATVIAN RADIO has crafted their own brand of critically acclaimed indie-powerpop since their 2006 debut "Happiness Above A Hardwood Floor". Their latest four releases all ended up on Best Album Of the Year lists in various publications from the Big Takeover Magazine to Absolute Powerpop. They have also been a college radio mainstay frequently charting in the CMJ top 200.

Their new and sixth album "Pick Your Poison, Pick Your Blues" sonically blends power pop, punk, new wave and britpop. It has the endless melodic hooks you have come to expect but is equally fueled by a dark and weary undercurrent in the wake of a world that can't get our of it's own way.

The press has linked Latvian Radio to the likes of the Replacements, the Shins, the Decemberists, ,New Pornographers, Big Star and early REM.
