ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hi. Laura Creamer, here. I worked on the Highlander series as a singer for quite some time. The composer, Roger Bellon approached me at one point with a traditional Celtic song called "Bonnie Portmore" that he had done a beautiful arrangement of, and asked me to sing lead on it. I did, and it was so well-received that he released it on an album.
Some years later, my co-writer Liz Vidal approached me with some Celtic-style lyrics that she had written and asked if I would like to work on music for them. I agreed readily, always remembering the connection I felt to the song "Bonnie Portmore" What we came out with, we refer to as "Celtilachian" for its Celtic and Appalachian elements.
So, although I have happily sung rock and roll with all my heart and soul, for years with Bob Seger and Kid Rock and others, this music is also a true love of mine.
