A Lehrer Who Can Sing!
Delightful. Women of a certain age--and their partners, and the young women who will eventually become a certain age--need songs like this: witty, knowing, and genuine pieces of art to boot. Per the album notes, one can indeed think of Laurie Gould as "Mom Lehrer," but the original Lehrer didn't actually know how to sing, while Gould does. Her crew of musicians and accompanying singers is good, too.
