ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
For those who like edgy string music, and the sound of a gothic pipe organ, and for those who like Bernard Herrmann's soundtrack music for Alfred Hitchcock's films – this album is a must listen.

Veteran saxophone player Harrison Goldberg adds his own rich improvisations to the computer and electronic music of Simon Burnett. Burnett uses MetaSynth software by U&I Software, Inc. to transform visual art into music. For example, the melodies for the title track, Landscape of a Dream, are derived from a painting created by a seven-year-old niece.

Along with new original tracks written by Burnett and Goldberg, Simon Burnett has also resurrected and modified old music files previously unreleased.

Ursula Hamilton adds haunting vocals to Sacred Music, and Andrew Pursell adds well-timed, brilliant piano harmonies to Lunar Light Blues.
