ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
On a hot, summer night in central Indiana, Lawrence Chewning and a band of talented musicians and singers presented a concert of some of Lawrence's most requested songs. Lawrence's songwriting career spans all the way back to the formative years of Contemporary Christian Music in the early 1970's, when he travelled throughout the United States with a band called the Fishermen, and later Lawrence Chewning & Eastland Band. The concert repertoire consisted of all the songs featured on the CD, "Kalamazoo or Beyond the Blue", as well as a never before recorded tribute to pastors called "Feed My Sheep." A memorable portion of this concert included Lawrence sharing the story behind the writing of "The Anchor Holds."
