ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
If one were to describe Leah Orlikowski's voice they would say she has an "organic" but diverse sound with bluesy intentions, Strength with a touch of tenderness, clarity with a bit of smoke, and a range that will give you goose bumps. Her guitar work is street smart and allows space for the conversation between her vocals and the instrument.
Leah's songwriting reaches in to the dark and light of the "Human Condition" and challenges one to question and embrace each. Her lyrical compositions paint colorful images taking you right to the core of what she conveys without the need for literalism.

Rare find, truly talented artist and a great album
This album is incredible. Leah has a very powerful voice and likes to challenge it - that's immediately clear in the first track of this album. I spent quite a few afternoons and nights at Viva Saloon and was lucky enough to hear a few of her sets (I'm normally able to space out and read and write in loud bars but her voice was truly distracting in a captivating sort of way). I was in Key West for the Singer-Songwriter Festival a couple of weeks ago, heard a lot of artists, and Leah was clearly one of the best. I downloaded this album when I got back and I've not been able to stop listening. Instrumentally, Leah is talented to say the least - very good technically and rhythmically; lyrically good; and vocally simply uncanny. Decide and Conquer and Tiger are the most notable tracks.
