Album Notes
Not just your ordinary ambient album but rather a musical meditative voyage to relax the soul as the title intends. Zen Voyage features 10 beautiful mantras based on sanskrit texts each invoking its own sacred meaning and message. Lea’s velvetty smooth voice uplifts us to another dimension, taking us back to our essence, our own journey of life...

Inspired by her India trip where Lea studied and chanted with true Indian chanting masters, she embodies these mantras with her hypnotic soothing voice and melodies.
She quotes « I’ve never felt so at peace like I did when i was in India, that I wanted to always feel this way so i started singing these mantras when i came back to Montreal and decided to record them so I can relive this inner-peace feeling daily. I hope I can help others to find their peace through my voice and music. Namaste

ZEN Voyage Indeed!
Life is sweet. If you need a reminder of this simple and honest fact, please do yourself a favor and take a listen to Lea Longo’s debut release on Sweet Life Music titled ZEN Voyage.

This sixty-minute ‘voyage’ holds true to its title by making for an hour long pampering session for your soul—with smooth and sensual spoken word chanted atop of aurally-stunning soundscapes that work to release all preconception and inhibition—taking the listener on a spiritual voyage throughout the cosmos and an even deeper journey within one’s self.

These divine soundscapes are meticulously mixed from song-to-song, making for an almost ‘ambient dj-mix’ with early highlights found on songs such as “Aham Prema,” and in the heartbeat of “Heart Sutra Mantra.” Subtle additions and subtractions make for enormous transitions in thought pattern and emotional involvement, while mental images of one’s torso opening to reveal an all-healing beacon of light come to mind as true emotion shines through—dispelling any misguided notion or prejudice.

“Healing Tara Mantra” begins with an Eastern instrumental string solo and continues to build as vocals enter and electronic rhythms flutter about. A soft drumline carries us on chariots of clouds through our kingdom in the sky while we reach an ‘apex’ of the soul. (This song would be *highly recommended* for use in a Downtempo/Chillout/Dub/Trip-Hop/Psychill DJ set as a breakdown embodying great spiritual and tonal qualities.)

As our ZEN Voyage winds down we again see Lea combine her vocals and all included instruments into one single living, breathing sound of the world on “Mantra of Awakening”—we transition from darkness to light feeling warmed, refreshed and anew. A new day is upon us… a new dawn.

“I felt immediately recharged after listening to the first three minutes of Lea Longo’s ZEN Voyage; what came next was closer to an out-of-body experience!”—Brian Ball, Music Editor/Director of Music & Talent
