Album Notes

Barry Keenan Produced this great track that we wrote together. We felt inspired at this time in history to create something to bring awareness of what is needed, love and listening in A World of Love.
Leesa Sklover, Ph,D. is a healing and creative visionary, a performing artist and songwriter first. Her music blends a strong melodic and lyrical focus blending folk, country, pop with messages of love and healing the world. Her experience as a music therapist and sound healer gives her the added benefit of knowing what works for healing the mnd and soul. She was taught by her Jazz pianist Father, the importance of a great melody and lyric. Studying musical theatre at Northwestern and music therapy at NYU gave her the background to perform. Working in the music business in production, film music and music video promotion gave her the knowledge of the many styles of music that she knows and loves.
Leesa has been performing in bands for over 25 years, country rock with Maverick, and Black and Blonde in LA. A composer and actor in her own musical at the Cherry Lane Theatre in NYC, called, Mother Me Therapy.
Her style focuses on ecomusic, country-folk and standards. Her work has always been for a cause, and using music to heal has been her focus in her 25 year career as a music therapist, sound healer, Counselor for other artists. She works now bringing awareness for women globally and ocean activism. Her cds are many, Sklover Songs, Samurai, Mother Me Therapy, Sklover Songs, Samurai, Orca Chantress, Sangeet Eleven, Ma Chant, Deep Deep Down, SA TA NA MA, A Wake up Call, Optiself- science and sound for the soul and now many single releases, including, A World of Love. Barry Keenan writes for himself and others producing, for many. His band The Invisible Poet Kings
is truly an American band. The four members come from different corners of the United States bringing together a wide variety of musical and artistic influences. The music is produced by founding band member, Barry Keenan and engineer, Matt Forger (Michael Jackson/Quincy Jones}. Although the band will tell you that the music they perform is, “their music”, the category that identifies them mostly falls into the British pop-rock tradition. Music Connection Magazine once wrote in a review of a live performance of Keenan and his band…”enough energy to light up a stadium”. Keenan is also the singer/songwriter of the band. Critics have said that his songs are "thought provoking," and “his finely crafted lyrics, though completely contemporary, remain timeless”. One critic wrote that “Keenan takes the listener into the abyss…then shows them the way out”. The music is a rich kaleidoscope of inventive pop, driving rock, urban folk and electronic magic, with strong hooks that entertain the listener in a meaningful way in a rollercoaster of emotions. The stories and ideas contained in the songs ring with a modern sound and are a reflection of the classic music we all love.
