Album Notes
Pianist Noam Lemish and percussionist George Marsh have been playing together as a duo since the early part of 2007. "NIghtfall" follows their first release, “Yes And” (2008).

Noam Lemish (b.1982) is a pianist and composer with San Francisco Bay Area and Israeli roots currently based out of Toronto, Canada. He has appeared in numerous performances across the US, Canada, Europe, Israel, and in Bhutan. He has played and performed with such musicians as: George Marsh, Sheila Jordan, John Handy, James Newton, Billy Hart, Julian Lage, Frances-Marie Uitti, Mel Graves, Dayna Stephens, Babatunde Lea, Mel Martin, and many others. He appears on Shea Breaux Wells’ album, “Piece Of The Light” (2006) and Jason Bodlovich’s 2010 release “The Culprit”. In addition to his original projects and work as a sideman, Lemish toured with The San Francisco Mime Troupe (2003). While teaching music in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan during 2009/2010 Lemish was commissioned by The Royal Office of Media to compose a special piece in celebration of His Majesty, the King of Bhutan’s 30th Birthday. “The People’s King” is a multi-cultural suite bringing together classical Western music, jazz, and traditional Bhutanese folk music.

George Marsh is a San Francisco based jazz drummer, composer, and educator, currently with the Noam Lemish/George Marsh Duo and the David Grisman Sextet. His recordings include those with John Abercrombie, Terry Riley, David Grisman, Jerry Garcia, Pauline Oliveros, Denny Zeitlin, Maria Muldaur, and many others. Inner Drumming is Marsh's first drum instruction book, a highly praised and unique manual for drummers. George has taught drumming and rhythm theory at the University of California at Santa Cruz and at Sonoma State University since 1982. He maintains a private studio in Santa Rosa, California.
