Album Notes
A Toltec Center of Creative Intent (TOCI, Austin, Texas) Perpetual Fundraising Project, based on the poems and teachings from the book Toltec Tarot, by HeatherAsh Amara.

A quote from the author on which this CD is based -- I am deeply honored that the poems in my Toltec Tarot book were the inspiration for Lesley LIshman's Toltec Tarot Tunes. Her lyrical voice and playful spirit blend to bring life to each one of the tarot cards. This CD shows the magical relationship Lesley has with each card, and her brilliance in opening to Spirit to let the energy of each card flow through her without rehearsal or editing. Let Lesley's music help you dream deeper into each of the major arcana with this beautiful musical tribute to the energies of the fool, the world, and everything in between. A must for any serious student of the tarot, and highly recommended for everyone else! May the musical interpretations herein facilitate and enhance your aural dreaming into the Toltec Tarot and guide you to reclaim both your humanity and divinity, and may you dream yourself whole.
- HeatherAsh Amara

About the Artist:

Lesley Lishman has been writing and passionately performing original and close-to-the-heart cover music for over three decades. An Artist of Spirit, she celebrates her love of life and music with her husband and fellow musician, Christopher Prewitt down the (white) rabbit hole in Wimberley, Texas. During her Spiritweaver apprenticeship (2005-2006), and Spiritual Integrity Program participation (2007-2008), her studies on Toltec Path magically inspired Lesley to set the Toltec Tarot cards to music. In the recording studio, with book author HeatherAsh Amara's blessing (and the tape rolling) she dreamt into the beautiful poems and images of Indigo (Anthony) Flores once again. The Toltec Tarot Tunes were born, a beautiful realization of creative intent and divine creative flow. For a well-seasoned and well-rehearsed veteran of high production in the studio, this was an about face and jump off a cliff for Lesley. Completely impromtu and in the moment, this project transformed her perceptions and jettisoned her into a blissful place of freedom with musical expression. When asked what that was like Lesley has said, "To truly be able to get out of the way and let the music come through was a stunning a-ha moment for me, and the power of the cards spoke for themselves."

Lesley's performance art was forever changed. May it serve all in a perfect way. This exciting work is the first but not the last in the sacred music realm for Lesley Lishman.
