Album Notes
After attending Terri Hendrix’s songwriter’s workshop in 2005, Leslie discovered her raison d’etre, and promptly set herself on course to create her own music. Six years later, in March of 2011, she leased her debut album Leslie Krafka – The White Cat Sessions. The title was born from Leslie’s weekly sessions to the White Cat Studio in Houston. It took her and producer Jack Saunders nearly a year and a half to complete the 13 tracks, but time and patience paid off. The CD features several songs that have garnered accolades. Her tribute to singer/songwriters on the road, “Wandering Troubadour”, was voted Song of the Year 2010 by the Houston Songwriters Association. Leslie was also named Songwriter of the Year 2010 by the HSA. Her song "All The Luck" recently took first place in it's category in the Austin Songwriters Group's song contest. All good projects need a little help from a friend and Leslie's mentor, folksinger Terri Hendrix, makes a cameo appearance on “Mary”. Sometimes friends are in high places, literally; “I Miss Your Company”, was written during a camping trip in Yosemite with fellow songwriters and campers that included Steve Poltz and Tim Bluhm. Other musicians who contributed to the project include: Jack Saunders, Rick Richards, Wayne Wilkerson, Eleanor Whitmore, Brody Krafka and Patrick Brennan. Leslie's music is a blend of folk, and country with a hint of pop and bluegrass. She can be seen around Houston playing at various coffee houses and acoustic venues such as Anderson Fair and The Mucky Duck.

"Krafka is an excellent songstress...Her songs target love and relationships, both good and bad, peppered with the occasional poignant tune about life experience...Krafka’s voice is outstanding, acting as the lead instrument on every track."
- Lucky Boyd, My Texas Music (Mar 27, 2011)

"...her debut (CD) was well worth the wait.”
- MIke Damante, Houston Chronicle (Mar 22, 2011)

“Her sweet, soulful, East Texas country sound is definitely worth a listen.”
-Jeff Falck, Texas Online Radio (Apr 12, 2011)

• Named Houston Songwriter Associations Songwriter of the Year 2010
“Wandering Troubadour” voted HSA’s Song of the Year 2010
• Finalist at Hallettsville’s Songwriters Serenade 2011
• Named a Regional Finalist for Kerrville Folk Festival 2011
