LFL is Esther Loria, Craig Ferreira and Sam Loria. These three artists unite in a perfect blend of their talents.
The CD box includes a 12-page booklet with lyrics, artwork, bios and photos.

Although having begun the path of this life in very different locations (Craig in California, Sam in Texas and Esther in India), the three arrived at the same place in Los Angeles in the summer of 1995. They found some common ground and this no frills "garage" project was begun with the first cut, The Lady Wants Romance, where Esther's velvet voice takes center stage. "Smooth, beautiful, romantic" - that's what one female listener said of this track.

This "easy on the ears" CD encompasses several styles, ranging from blues to pop. The music is sensual, definitely passionate with some Latin flavor and one with a touch of Middle East. A killer sax and floating guitar serve well to frame the pieces which contain them.

Some things you can listen to and still go about your day but somehow these tracks transport you into the world of the music.

"PORTRAIT IN THE DARK" has shown to have a wide range of appreciation. It defies all the boundaries of age groups and lifestyles, fluidly crossing all of these with ease. One mom in San Francisco hardly has a chance to hear the CD because her teen holds it captive in her room, while in London, a working mom plays it religiously.

Listener feedback:

"Smooth!!!--what superb mood music."

"Amazing--your voices are beautiful."

"Nuances are clearly obscure and lovely."

"The music is so sensuous, erotic and ethereal."

"Wow! My favorite is each one of them, in a different way."

"I used your music to sit back, take stock, rest and regroup for the next day!"

"...listened to it and were amazed at how lovely it is--and it's all so great--the music, the artwork, the lyrics--all so professional and artistic! Wow--we were wowed!"

"...voices are incredible!"

"I just listened to your tape and I truly love it and all the lyrics. It says so much, if not all, of how I feel, think & believe. Thank you for doing this CD!"

"Haunting is truly the best adjective."

"WOW! Very enchanting. This is a hellava collaboration. There's definitely three distinct, discernible elements at play, L, F and L; but there's a perfect fusion present, throughout. Must have taken a lot of work, but the product really shines. Personal favs: The Lady Wants Romance, the quintessential Spanish aria, the perfect guitar; nothing but island sunsets! If you ever get the chance to lay down a Latin lyrical remix, drop ship it overnight. Portrait in the Dark, sultry sax work. Still Holding You, best all around mix, entrancing passion with the right dusting of jazz. Can easily take this one to bed every night. Congrats! I'm jealous of the talent and I admire the time and effort spent to get it right. So, to put it all into one word: MORE!"
----Jeff Rusby

"I listened to PORTRAIT IN THE DARK a while ago, but I still remember the dulcet tones and poetic lines. A time to drift and gain some altitude over the day or over a life to return refurbished and refreshed. Plenty of toe tappers too to get the heart going and the feet moving across the floor. Ones comfort zone is broadened as well. Music for setting a mood or inspiring the mind as you follow the paths laid out in the notes. I'd give it four stars for listenability and smoothness. Thanks."
