ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“One minute you’re listening to Coe,
Willie, and/or Cash crackling over a beat-up radio in a beat-up diner in the middle of nowhere circa 1975; the next you’re in a David Lynch fever dream
circa 2019.” – Milwaukee Record.

Liar’s Trial’s latest full length release, 2019’s “ Friends in No Places”, is a showcase of the group’s deep appreciation for the true spirit and sound of
genuine country music. Liar’s Trial has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the most prominent names in country music, including Billy Joe Shaver, David Allan Coe, Ben and Noel Haggard, Junior Brown, the Waco Brothers, Split Lip Rayfield, Elizabeth Cook, Reckless Kelly, and The Steel Woods.  Legendary country music songwriter Billy Don Burns himself has given his blessing to the group’s rendition of his own “Diablo’s Highway”, a driving tune that manages to
be both harrowing and captivating.

As one fan said of the hardworking band after a show, “Y’all are going to save country music”. And that
is exactly what Liar’s Trial aims to do.
