" shortage of range or inflection...this award-winning performer shows an extraordinary voice and material that's crafted to suit it." -- Music Connection

LA-based musician Libbie Schrader first made headlines when she and her band Think of England won the Pantene Pro-Voice "New Voice of 2001" Competition in New York's Central Park. Schrader and her band beat out over 1200 other female-fronted acts for the award. Prizes inclured a nationwide tour with Poe and a demo deal with Atlantic records.

The following summer, Schrader's band also opened three shows on Jewel's This Way tour as part of Jewel's Soul City Café program for independent artists. Later that year, Schrader and her band were winners of the Volkswagen/Clear Channel Battle of the Bands, and as a result they were invited to open a show for Rusted Root at San Francisco's famed Warfield theatre.

Libbie Schrader is now a solo artist with an alternative pop/rock style. Her 2004 release "Letters to Boys" has gotten top reviews from both and Music Connection, as well as KCRW airplay for her songs "Come When I Call" and "A Long Day."

Can't wait to hear the whole thing!
I love this CD already and I've only been able to listen to the 2-minute clips over and over! I can't wait till I can listen to it in my car. These songs are so fun to listen to live as well.

Who knew?
I stumbled upon this album by accident... and thank god I’m a klutz! I love this album, like you would a best friend. Compelling and very addictive! Good job Libbie!!

Every thing
Pick just about any music style, and Libbie does it here. Even when the music isn't my thing, I love her lyrics and voice. "Long Day" is the closest to her previous hits, which is probably why it's my favorite.

Glenn Abernathy

Another smash album by Libbie!
The only problem with this album is that it is too short, only 9 cuts for about 36 minutes, otherwise it is great, typical Libbie, nice phrasing and lyrics, great sound. I hope that it gets some play on the radio.

The extremely talented, versatile Libbie has done it again!

I heard Libbie perform an hour gig at The Hotel Cafe back in November '05. I found her to be refreshing & enjoyable. When I arrived home, I decided to order this CD. Perhaps I was present during a night of "magic" because I found that spark missing in this CD. Other than a song or two, I was disappointed with this CD.

She did it again!
I couldn't wait to get Libbie's new CD - and there it is. It is just as brilliant as her first one. "Long day" ranges among my all-time best-loved songs, it speaks directly from my heart. And I love Libbie's sense of humor in "Sweet When You Wanna Be" or "My Own Advice". Her voice is special and the melodies are pretty catchy. I adore the piano! So if you're looking for a fantastic singer-songwriter you don't have to search no more. Go and buy!

Great songwriting
I heard Libbie Schrader on None radio and decided to buy her CD. I didn't regret it, the melody and lyrics are very good

You know a record is great when...
you buy it at a show, play it on the way home and even though you've arrived at your destination, you sit in your garage at 12:30 a.m. so you can listen to it all the way through without interruption... then you play the first track again because once wasn't enough. good job, libbie. even better than the first.
