Album Notes
Lil Twan (Antwan Brooks) a native of Durham, NC was born and raised in the "Bullcity" also known as baby new york because of it's diverse population and melting pot of peoples and cultures. Durham is also known for being one of the roughest turfs to walk the beat....gunshots and sirens plague the city and bloods and crips run the streets....In a land where police take no prisoners, brutality is a weekly occurance and death almost certain if you step the wrong corner.....but through all the turmoil and struggles Lil Twan has put in countless hours in the labratory perfecting the formula for his lyrics.....Twan met E. Smitty in 2005, the two eventually began working on his first album, "Hate On This" is the lyricist/rapper's sophmore LP, with a mixtape tempo, countinuous music, cuts blended into each other, the album has a really dope club feel but yet mixtape and album cuts can be found as well, Tweezie is unofficially the best unheard rapper in the south.....He mixes today's swagga with a collection of lyrical rhyme patterns and tongue twisting metaphors......E. Smitty does his thing on the beats, as usual for any Smitty Productions Release, this Super Producer/Engineer/Lyricist has just broken the seal on the door, Stay up with Lil Twan and E. Smitty at these sites:
