ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With roots-down banjo fiddle grooves, dust kickin' hoedowns and small town regrets, Lime and Steel can be found unloading rusty station wagons at folk festivals up and down the East Coast of Australia. They roll out folk-noir tales of murder on the old time camel trains, convict gospel and foot-stomping bluegrass love-songs, all cut with equal parts of charm and cheap wine. Their newest EP, "Aunt Thally", brings the focus to the female vocalists in the band: The title track shares the story of a sweet old lady from their hometown, who poisoned her neighbours and in-laws in the late 50s by serving cups and tea and treats laced with rat poison.
