ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
On the eve of taking an extended sabbatical from music recording and performance, Tom Frisch and I holed back up in his basement studio to record what friends and fans had been asking for since Angels & Devils Alike – a collection of previously unrecorded live favorites and brand new songs that hadn’t made it out of the house until now. I played my Carver twin point, beautiful Arrow octave mandolin and acoustic guitar, plus an old telecaster and even older tenor banjo that were hanging around Tom’s house. The mood is mellow and the sound is stripped down, much the way that people first discovered me over the past several years performing around the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks from my heart to God (aka, 'Harvey the Wonder Chicken'), Alicia and Chiron Crockett, Mom & Dad and the whole family, Tom Frisch, Chris Kokesh, Brad Creel, Paul Lestock, Lisa Lepine and the countless booking agents and venues that have turned me up , Brad Tisdel and the whole Sister’s crew, Matt Meighan and the PDX heart’s club,The Trout Lake All Stars, Chris Stanridge, Ryan Foster and Freq, cdbaby, hostbaby and you. This album is a parting gift of gratitude and appreciation for all of the people who have opened their ears, minds and hearts to me and the songs I’ve been singing. It has been the greatest honor to play for you! Keep in touch and see you soon,

Lincoln
