ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Grace is one of the qualities I most aspire to embody.

Grace allows us to flow with the spirit of life. Grace embraces life affirming qualities like gratitude, love and beauty.

Music takes me to a place of grace, and allows me to be an instrument of grace. At a time when "wall" has taken on an unwelcome meaning, grace is very much needed.

The songs I have written for this album are gifts of grace: the title song is a prayer to embrace one another and create a safe, healing climate; "Enough" was written in response to the "teardown epidemic"
in the communities where I live; "Alone" is a spiritually wistful meditation as connection can seem elusive; "Tree Of Life" is a prayer to end gun violence; "Keeper Of My Soul" is a love song to Scarlett, my four-legged soulmate; "The Mistake" is my own #MeToo song set behind closed doors in the 1970's; and "Light Up The Love" is an anthem for the global Light Up the Love movement founded by Jerry Meunier.

Little did I know when I started that two songs which were part of movies nominated for Academy Awards would end up on this album, "Shallow" and "Too Late To Turn Back Now." "All In All" is a beautiful song I have always loved by David Buskin. "Love is rare. Life is strange. Nothings lasts. People change" is truth from the refrain of "Old Friend." And "Imagine" offers a vision and spirit that is timeless and full of grace.

May this album feed your heart and fuel your soul.
