Album Notes
Linda Newlin is a new songwriter whose passion in life is to help others live their dreams and be who they truly are. As a life coach and teacher, she has spent her life as an Evocateur. Working with people to heal their past "hurts" and evoke from within them what is their "essence" and gifts.
Last year, her heart said "song writing" is what I really want to do now....
"Listen to your heart... The body doesn't lie," her coach said.

"So the adventure began, picking up pen in hand.
My first song was Love Your Self which came "through" me in 10 minutes. The flow was mind blowing and elation filled my whole being.
Then the songs began to flow quickly, as I wrote words that were healing to me and my journey, it became a "musical" story of sorts. And then it all fell into place, my activism and passion for ending all forms of abuse was expressed in my song It's Not Okay. The music video is provocative and my hope is that it gives victims the chance to express and heal and that perpetrators get help so they will stop hurting people.

I had planned and dreamed of doing a One Woman Show more than 5 years ago, and yet it just didn't seem right. After writing It's Not Okay and 4 others, it was clear why I hadn't done it. I want to sing and make a difference. I have to do benefit concerts. This is who I am. A portion of the profits from the sale of my CD will go to organizations working to end all forms of abuse and non-profits who provide healing for those who want to live free (Hoffman Institute).

Living congruently and authentically is "effortless". There is no pretending, no pain, no lies, no internal chatter, no internal struggle.

My hope is that as you listen to the lyrics and music, you are moved to stop whatever suffering you are experiencing in your life, be it self abuse (addictions), living in an empty relationship, working in a job you hate, ignoring your "dreams" and gut feelings, or being hurt by someone who loves you.

You can find healing through organizations such as the Hoffman Institute, a non-profit. They offer workshops/intensives in 12 different countries.

Loving yourself is not what we've always thought it to be. It is not just healthy eating, massages or exercising. It is about freeing yourself and living who you are.
It takes courage and commitment. If we don't "fill our own cup" it will become empty. This is not narcissism or self absorption; it's self love, self respect, dignity, trust in self, freedom and living your "gifts" and being happy within.

Listen to your heart and shine your light in the world!

A unique CD with multi genres including: pop, classic rock, country rock, folk, musical, adult contemporary, gospel
