ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Linda has been delighting audiences with her huge sound and clear pronunciation of lyrics since the age of five. Her mother Ruth was a singer and her sister, Ruth Beals was her musical partner, arranger, and accompanist who died tragically at the age of 47. Linda adopted the last name Ruth to pay homage to her beloved sisters of song.

Ms. Ruth is a veteran of musical theatre having played Maria in West Side Story and Sharon in Finian's Rainbow among other shows. Linda's love of humor has developed and grown. Her audiences have appreciated musical numbers which vary from romantic or haunting ballads to bawdy, full-throttle, belted tunes like Hard Hearted Hannah interspersed with musical history and anecdotes. Her warmth and energy level are impressive.

If you like standards, jazz, and swing by many of the great songwriters performed in a unique, clear, and personal style that is warm to Hot!, you'll treasure this CD and want to get copies for your friends and family.

People have said about Linda Ruth's singing:
"A Voice as Big as Texas!"
"I could hear every word to each song!"
"Sexy sound!"
"She'll make you laugh and make you cry!"
After Ms. Ruth's Music by George Cabaret:
"Gershwin is my favorite composer, and she is my favorite singer!"
