Child Right Brain for stimulation of the right hemisphere in Children. Total length: 35 Minutes 43 Seconds

Listening to this "Wolves & Whales" CD may help to improve attention span, ability to concentrate, reading comprehension, social behavior, nonverbal communication, and math skills.

BrainBalance Music is designed and customized to Dr. Robert J. Melillo's specifications, based on extensive research and knowledge that certain types and frequencies of sound are specifically processed by the two hemispheres of the brain differently. By using specific music and sounds BrainBalance Music may help to stimulate one hemisphere more than the other and possibly create more balance in the brain.

The majority of symptoms in children and adults including attention deficits, learning disabilities, autism, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety, chronic pain and many more are all directly a result of an imbalance of electrical activity in the brain. There are many environmental factors that can produce an imbalance of electrical activity and function of the two sides of the brain documented as either an increase of activity on one side or a decreased activity on the other. Research has shown that the side of the brain that is most problematic is most often the side that is understimulated. The use of BrainBalance Music as as source of stimulation to the brain may be a very powerful tool to achieve a balance of brain activity.

Adverse activity is the right hemisphere, which is thought to be the one in ADD, OCD, anxiety disorder, and autism is specifically stimulated by low frequency tones, negative, or downbeat music, and music that creates images such as environmental sounds without words. Decreased activity in the left hemisphere which is seen in dyslexia, learning disabilities, poor memory and depression too name a few, is stimulated by high frequency tones, positive or upbeat music, words and repetitive mathematical, rhythmic sounds. We have created BrainBalance Music utilizing these facts as well as other research into how sound effects the hemispheres. BrainBalance Music is designed specifically to create a balance of activity between the hemispheres.

Dr. Robert J. Melillo, an internationally known chiropractic neurologist, has been in private practice for 17 years. For most of that time, he has been a postgraduate professor of neurology and rehabilitation. Dr. Melillo has devoted the later half of his career to the study of learning disabilities and behavioral disorders in both children and adults. He has searched to find the cause of childhood disorders like ADD , ADHD, Dyslexia, Obsessive compulsive disorder,Tourettes syndrome, and autism to name a few . He also has researched depression and anxiety disorders in both children and adults.

Credits include: - Former chairman of the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology. - Post graduate course coordinator and developer of Northwestern Chiropractic Colleges Rehabilitation diplomat program. - Currently a board member of the Ascent School (for Autistic children)

Research findings: What Dr. Melillo's research has found is that most childhood and adult cognitive and behavioral problems are a result of an electrical imbalance in the brain. This imbalance can be produced by a lack of stimulation or a skeletal or muscular imbalance of the body. These imbalances result in the brain focusing on using the more active side and ignoring the under-stimulated hemisphere. Therefore information is processed consciously and subconsciously by only one hemisphere instead of two, and the result is abnormal behavior and/or emotions or other physical symptoms of illness.

Dr Melillo has devised a unique approach to improving these symptoms known as The Unlimited Potential Program utilizing specific forms of physical activity coupled with sensory stimulation (such as specifics types of music, light, smells, etc.), cognitive therapy and nutrition. This is all done with specific attention to balancing an individual's brain activity between the right and left hemispheres.

You should listen to the music three to five times a day for at least ten-minute sessions. An mp3 player or cd player should be used with one earpiece taken out or removed. In this instance, you will listen to the music in the ear opposite the side of the brain hemisphere that we wish to stimulate i.e. music in the left ear for the right brain etc. If a player with headphones is not used and instead music is played through speakers, an earplug can be used in the ear that is on the same side of the brain as we wish to stimulate. For example, to stimulate the right hemisphere, place the earplug in the right ear. With the earplug in place, music can be played in the background. In this instance, the music should be kept on for at least 15 minutes. If you cannot tolerate either a player or an earplug, simply play the music in the background at the same volume level for 15 minute intervals. Since Brain Balance Music is specifically designed to stimulate either the right or left brain, it will still have a specific stimulating effect without the isolation of one ear from listening.

I have a daughter on the autism spectrum. A couple of weeks of listening to this she and she answered a "yes" to a question! She is more verbal and seems to understand things better. I've also noticed she is waiting for things more.

This CD saved my family.
My 9 year old son has ADHD, ODD, sensory and auditory processing disorder and I am told he is on the spectrum. For 5 years, he has had severe disruptive and impulsive behavioral issues at school. After several psychologists, clinicians, therapies, nutritional changes and thousands of dollars, NOTHING has worked. I was almost all out of hope. I stumbled upon Dr. Melillo's Brain Balance program and followed the website and emails for a year. Tired of wasting money on parenting books that just end up in a dust pile , I borrowed Dr. Melillo's book, Disconnected Kids, from the library. I found he had a right brain deficiency and to make a long story short, I now own this book and have donated my dust pile. I worked through the home program with my son, but we end up fighting and arguing and I growing more frustrated. I pared down the home program JUST to him listening to this Brain Balance CD for the Right Hemisphere. No earplugs, no earphones, played it when I could, however I could, car, during homework, while he read, while he slept. Worked after 6 weeks. But read the book - he went through the rough patch,as described in weeks 3 and 4, and even though I almost stopped it, I didn't, because I knew the bad meant it was working. I just kept playing the CD and praying. Week 10, teachers and coaches came up to me and said they noticed a dramatic change over the last month - so profound it was like a totally different kid, happier, more calm, little to no impulsive behavior, better listener, empathetic, making friends, less over reacting, no dramatic emotional displays. Changed his immune system, speech, taste buds too - all for the better. It has now been 7 months and I still have him listen to the CD only because I am afraid to stop. I do worry that I am 'over whipping the whip cream' but teachers still come up to me and can't believe how well he is doing. Thank you Lisa Erhard and Dr. Melillo for helping me and my son!

My First Brain Balance Music
I love Brain Balance because it's so awesome. When I was 15 years old, I listened to my first Brain Balance music which is called With Wolves and Whales. Like my third phone before my fifth and current phone, it had my first Brain Balance music along with my second Brain Balance music which is called Paradise. I can listen to them anytime I want to.

Positive effect on development
I am a mother of an ASD child living in Hong Kong. About a year ago we have been recommended by a neuro chiropractor to let my son listening to the Right Brain Stimulation music once a day or put it as background music when he is playing. I found that my son becomes more focused in his learning and communicating, and have better behavior when I let him listen more frequently. Of course I have other therapies in place but I believe the music does have a positive effect to my son in his development, and at a very minimal effort.
