Album Notes
Lisa & Lynn were the pre-eminent Duo of Jewish liturgical music and toured the country from 1996 to 2000. Their lyrics, guitar work and tight harmonies as well as original liturgical and peace songs have resonated with listeners and song leaders, cantors and choirs for a generation. Lisa & Lynn wrote for their youth choir at Temple Shalom in Dallas, then for the Diversity Chorus in Des Moines as well as interfaith and community activism. Join Hands for Justice was published in the recent Songs of Justice by URJ Press. Texas Hodu has become a standard for youth choirs and Lisa's MiSheberach, song for healing, is sung throughout the world. In 2014 Lynn succumbed to her battle with pancreatic cancer and the duo was silenced forever. Lynn's spirit and memory live on in these compositions and recordings which preserve the legacy of the duo.
