Album Notes
Lisa Nicoll is a singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, NY, who is currently living and working on her melodies and lyrics in Savannah, GA. Fans have called Lisa's music "infectious and really pretty, with lyrics that take you deeper than you expected." She has been compared to such performers as Juliana Hatfield, Dusty Springfield, and Petula Clark, and finds inspiration in the vocalists of the 1960s––from British Invasion to Brill Building, and by such poets as Rumi and Billy Collins.

Lisa has performed on the same bill as such recording artists as Dennis Diken of The Smithereens, Marshall Crenshaw, and Phoebe Snow. She has also worked as an actress, a voice-over artist, and as a choreographer. She is currently working on a full-length album.

FEBRUARY 27, 2007 NEWS: Lisa Nicoll's original song "Bad for Me" climbs to the #2 position today on American Idol Underground's Country Chart! (She thinks it's more folky-pop-ballad, but call it what you want, the people like it!)

Brilliant. An amazing young talent.
Combination of songwriting talent and voice that is so rare. Something to be celebrated.

kind of ethereal AND my kind of pop intrigue
This cd is full of twists and turns crafted by a clever lyricist with a resonant, sunlit voice. Deep and whimsical moments arrive throughout as one journeys through playfully tangled webs and darker intrigues that somehow manage to break with the light of day . Looking forward to more recordings from this searching and illuminating singer-poet . A worthwhile and memorable bop down the romantic road.

A sweet escape for the ears...
This is the CD you play for a complete mood shift. The sweet breeziness of Lisa Nicoll's voice combined with poignant, often razor-sharp lyrics will suck you in and make you forget everything but the music. A definite must for anyone searching out innovative new voices.
