ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The guitar determines where the music will take you. That is what Lisa y Josué mean by Guitarrazón. It is the way or reason of the guitar. Composer Josué Pérez, states “the guitar tells you what you can do, what is possible.” This is Lisa y Josué’s fourth album. It is a sensitive collection of 7 original pieces, 2 Brazilian pieces by Silas Antonio Santo, 2 traditional boleros and the Danza, "Violeta" are from Puerto Rico. Listen for Lisa's heelwork on "Quitapón" and before you know it you're on Flamenco Row. Guest artists are Jeanne Fox on cello (Track 3) and Mauricio Herrera on percussion (tracks 4, 5, and 14).

Graphic design by Rafael Esquer.
