Listen Up! has delivered harmony, humor and vocal pyrotechnics for more than 20 years as the "house band" (sans instruments) of the Greater Chicago Jewish Folk Arts Festival. The Chicago Tribune raves, “What comes across in every moment of their performance is an adoration for singing —turning melodies and harmonies on their heads to come up with something unique and full of freshness and appeal. Listen Up! is Chicago's uniquely compelling Jewish vocal band". Shayna Elliott, Freddie Feldman, Steve Singer, and Eli Taylor bring warmth and sheer knock-yer-socks-off vocal power with a confident, easy manner in performance that wins the hearts (and ears) of audiences of all ages. “Our music is about creating a special connection”, says founder and musical director, Steve Singer. “We are building that relationship from the first note… to energize and inspire. By the end of the show, we’re family.” With multigenerational wit and humor and an impressive artistic palette drawn from diverse Jewish musical traditions, Listen Up! leaves no audience unaffected by their performance.

Listen Up! has been repeatedly selected among vocal groups throughout the Midwest to perform in the Harmony Sweepstakes National Competition (winning “Best Original Arrangement”) and their recording “Jewphoria” was nominated for “best religious album” by the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARA), an international contest whose past winners include vocal groups such as the Nylons, Rockapella, Pentatonix and Take 6.
