ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Little Cisco has been creating albums of original Rockin' Blues songs for over 20 years! Here are quotes about songs included on Riffs in Time:

IN THE DOG HOUSE
"As a guitar lover, I quickly fell in love with IN THE DOG HOUSE. Randy Siscoe belts out incendiary riffs on his Stratocaster that are in the same class with the other blues masters, past and present."
Michael Hopkins--The Scene

HARD TO CARRY ON
was selected to be included on the Great Northern Blues Society's CD,Bake Sale 2. "More excellent guitar and great harmonies. This is good home cookin'"
Great Northern Blues Society

JUST BOOGIE
is Guaranteed to get you movin!
In the international magazine, Blues Revue (Oct. issue #13, 1997),Ed Ivey praises lyrics of Cisco's Just Boogie and refers to Fast Car as the best cut, calling it: "slide guitar party on mag wheels"!

Bad Girl
"It's a very powerful song. It's hard and funky and has humorous lyrics. It also has a great harmony that sounds akin to a horn part."
Sharon Van Ryzin--Prime Time--Waupaca County Post

Quotes about Little Cisco:

Bruce Iglauer of Alligator Records, commented:
"You're an impressive guitarist in a Stevie/Jimi style."

"His fingers flutter across the frets with dizzying speed, leaving listeners in gleeful shock that anything could be so fast and so clean. Ginny's larynx can be tender or teasing and has a rasp as just the right spots."
Jeffrey Deckner--City Pages--Wausau, WI

This group has performed for special events including:
A performance in the film; Look at Me in America, of the Little Cisco original song; Baby I Want You.

You can hear the song, Baby I Want You, by checking out Little Cisco's album; Have Mercy, on CD Baby!

Have Mercy is another all original album of Little Cisco, released at the beginning of 2006, and has great sounding original rockin' blues tunes. Out of the 10 songs on Have Mercy, only 2 were ever recorded before. The songs; Baby I want You and Through with Me, were recorded many years ago and then recorded again for Have Mercy.

Nearly two decades strong this Green Bay blues trio is right on, and this CD culls the best tracks from their five lps (including many live faves). Play it agaian and again, and play it LOUD while we wait for the soon to be issued new CD.
Okay, what makes these guys so unique? Not repetitious sloppy blues. Inspired by Jimi and Stevie Ray, yes, but they never fall prey to sloppy chords of mindless boogey fretting. Randy's guitars and Ginny's bass are fresh and layered freshly across the musicscape--whistle clean and inspiring from the get go! I also find it highly original that many of the vocals have a retro psychedelic flavor. For those of you who remember Fleetwood Mac's classic blues LP THEN PLAY ON and the song "Oh Well" you'll get the idea. Sound is fresh and Ginny Lee may be most unheralded bassist in the land. Combination of covers and impressive original comps. Even if the Packers never beat the Cowboys. LITTLE CISCO does the blues proud - Texas style!!!
