ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
St. Paul's freshest old-souls band, Little Man (lead by singer/songwriter Chris Perricelli -- a small, but tall, talent) is releasing their sophomore project, "Big Rock."

Originally from Chicago, Little Man released their debut offering, "Core of Discovery" in 2000 and toured nationally with Chicago favorites, Ike Reilly.
Perricelli has since gravitated to the fertile Twin Cities
music scene and has set down roots here. The band has been playing regionally, and shows are attracting interest.

Recorded in Minneapolis by Ol' Yeller's Rich Mattson and mixed by Ike's co-songwriter Ed Tinley, Big Rock is just that, and more. It's original Pop Rock, with accessible melodies, but not so mainstream.

Similar to T-Rex / Bowies' Ziggy / Big Star

Little Man has the sound of late 60's early 70's rock.
Perricelli has a captive stage presence and guitar style not to be missed. Ken DeVoe on drums and Heath Henjum of the Olympic Hopefulls on bass help Little Man stand above the rest.

Work Songs
I hefted the Big Rock into my CD player and realized immediately I had my work cut out for me breaking this stuff down. I hoisted my 20 lb. sledge and made the first cleave which yielded the first gem. Touching Wonder began with a nice guitar tone and by the time the chorus arrived, i was hooked. I smashed again and heard All of Yours, All of Mine which featured a nice key change leading from verse to chorus. And on it went, with every descent of my hammer, I found more rock to chew...from the jagged edged rhythm changes of Company Time, to the steamy molten lava vocals and guitar solo of From Here To Anywhere (my favorite cut).
All in all, breaking into this Rock was no work at all. Chisel yourself a slice!

Just buy this!
Little Man is one of my favorite groups. Unless you don't like rock music or guitars, you need this in your CD player right this second. The songs are instant classics and you won't be able to get them out of your head.
Cheers to the band!!!

Rob van Alstyne - PULSE OF THE TWIN CITIES

This is the kind of ballsy traditionalist bar rock that's guaranteed to put a shit-eating grin on the faces of those music fans searching for short and sweet rock...

For those with a soft spot for both glam rock and psychedelia, Little Man fills an important void in Twin Cities music.
