Album Notes
Guitarist Joe Livoti adds to the canon of instrumental rock guitar with “Greetings From Galaxy X”, an eclectic and electrifying musical journey through the cosmos via Strats, Teles, Gretsches, vintage tube amps and pedals, and influences from Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page, to Bob Bogle, Chet Atkins and Joe Diorio.

“Greetings From Galaxy X” contains all original compositions save for an acid surf version of ‘Walk Don’t Run’, and features instrumentation from solo guitar to full band arrangements. The compositions are melodically strong, intricately arranged and contain enough burning guitar solos to satisfy the most discriminating connoisseurs of shred. The real strength of the CD, however, is the strong melodic construction of each song, and the compositional sense evident in the arrangements.

Joe Livoti is a Bay Area guitar player and teacher. More information can be found at www.joelivoti.com
