Album Notes
Winner of the Parents' Choice Recommended Award, “Once Upon a Tune” has a delightful focus on classic children’s tales, including a trio of original songs about characters in threes. Listeners can groove to The Three Bears, Three Billy Goats Gruff and Three Little Kittens, a shout-back to Liz’s 2010 album, "Singing All the Way Home," with its bluesy rendition of Three Little Pigs. Fans of Liz’s music will be thrilled that she has finally recorded her popular pair of rabbit songs: “Peter Rabbit,” and “Rockin’ in the Rabbit Hole,” a tune by “Guitar Bob” Messano. The album also features Liz’s enticing story-song about color mixing, “What Color Will You Be?” and closes with a pair of songs geared for emerging readers, a blues recitation of vowels and a consonant hoedown! This album features Liz's wonderful and eclectic band, with Billy Novick on sax and whistle, Eden MacAdam-Somer on fiddle, Eric Kilburn on mandolin and Kenny Selcer on guitar. Have a rockin' good time with these fun songs!
