Album Notes
Local Honey was first an idea among friends. Dreamed up in the spring of 2014, Eric Hood (Director) and Amy Hendrickson (Producer) wanted to create a visual and audial snap shot of St. Augustine's diverse and talented working musicians, while celebrating the collective musical history. St. Augustine is not only the Nation's oldest city, it has a rich musical history that spans generations and genres. It's those voices that helped create a local sound. A sound that's distinct and as much a part of the city as any landmark or building.

The concept was to record a collaborative album with "blue collar" players during one week in in October 2014. The location chosen was the beautiful Rodman Plantation a very special home to the family of Amy Hendrickson. It was once owned by her great grandparents. It was the perfect background for recording the album and the conversations that naturally surround the topic of music. In September of 2014 Local Honey became funded though a successful kick starter campaign which allowed this daydream a physical reality.
