ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is Local Water's first EP featuring "Holding You" and "Too Strong."

All the songs were written from 2014-2017. All songs described are written in chronological order.

In Heaven was written in 2014 for a friend that lost her father. I wrote the song on the spot to comfort her in her time of need. Originally recorded in January 2014.

Too Strong was written in my truck while waiting outside my grandmom's house. It was a song personal to me. I dealt with the struggles of dealing with health problems for many years and always having to be stronger than the illness and how it wears on the soul. I had my grandmother in mind when writing this song as well. She was suffering from a illness that took her away a few months later. Originally written in February of 2016, re-recorded September 2017.

Holding You was written in my grandmother's basement a few months after she had passed away in May of 2016. The original recording is included as a demo on the album. This song was about knowing the person is not gone but always watching over you till the day you meet again. Originally recorded July of 2016, re-recorded September 2017.

Sweet Amber was written about a girl I liked and the struggles she was dealing with. Recorded as a demo August 2016.
