Album Notes
Coming from the Austrian Folk Music and the jazz scene respectively, Elisabeth Lohninger and Walter Fischbacher set out to converge in the middle, creating a unique set of songs from both sides of the aisle. Blisteringly fast unison lines inserted into simple folk melodies stand beside original, pop influenced tunes and jazz standards. This 1998 album marks the starting point of an extensive and ongoing collaboration between the vocalist Lohninger and the pianist Fischbacher.
