Album Notes
Lois's debut CD (originally released in 2002) of original Christian Contemporary songs reveals her depth and breadth of musical talents and insights. Inspired by Old and New Testament biblical passages, the artist uses her warm mezzo voice to self-harmonize and performs a variety of instruments by taking advantage of multi-track recording in order to create her own one-woman band.

Most requested tracks from Lois' CD are "Gethsemane," an emotional recount of Jesus's walk in the Garden of Gethsemane and an Easter favorite. "Tell The World," her response to the devastating events of 9/11, and the title track, "Metamorphosis," to which she relates her transformation in Christ to beauty--like the changing of a butterfly, emerging from its chrysalis.

"It Was Good" relates the beauty of Creation and the frustrating inadequacies a struggling artist often feels when trying to depict the beauty of nature. "Clean Heart" and "O Lord, Our Lord," are taken directly from David's psalms.

The truly beautiful thing about "Metamorphosis" is that Lois strives to gives a contemporary feel to traditional Biblically inspired stories, psalms, and proverbs.

Lois wrote all the words and music for all the songs on this CD, except for "My Life," which was written by Jean Pascual.
