Album Notes
In late 1999, Looks Like Rain hit the LA music scene with passion, energy, and promise. Since then, the band has steadily won awards, accolades, and most importantly, the loyalty of an ever-increasing fan base. With a signature blend of soaring songs, stunning originality and dynamic performances, Looks Like Rain delivers a commanding presence and breathtaking sound that is both familiar and yet completely new. With a seemingly endless draw of hits-in-the-making, Looks Like Rain is clearly poised to ascend to the next level.

Driven by core members Amy Court and Joey Daigneault, Looks Like Rain's music is so dexterous and deft, it can both fill large venue with a torrent of sound, and woo a contemplative crowd with astute lyrics and shimmering melodies.

Last year, Looks Like Rain jumped headfirst into the international music scene with performances at Toronto's Canadian Music Week. The band was quickly snapped up by the Canadian media, and made their television debut on "The Lofters," U8TV's answer to MTV's "The Real World." Back in the states, the band regularly plays the Southern California club circuit as well as everything from competitions, festivals, charity events, television shows, and benefit concerts. Noteworthy events include the 2003, "Voices of Women" concert, in which Looks Like Rain was proud to share billing with Sophie B. Hawkins. Additionally, Looks Like Rain has been spotlighted as one of Lenet Galloway's "Kick Ass Women Artists" (91.9 FM), ranked as Music Connection's Top 25 Demos of 2002, and been featured in Women Who Rock and New Music Reporter magazines and countless online music sites.

Looks Like Rain continues to write, record and perform at events and venues across Southern California.

Must be one of the top 10 unsigned groups out there
Its no mystery that this band has received a variety of accolades and recognitions over the past few years (e.g. Artist of the Year Nominee @ LA Music Awards, Voted top 25 Best Demos). Memorable songwriting, beautiful voice, catchy hooks, plenty of dynamics...look for this band to break out of their shell in the near future and perhaps take a place among one of the household names of pop/rock...check out Big Black Car, William, ans Standing Somewhere for just a glimpse at where they are going. Great group!!!
