ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
LorE Denizen is a Los Angeles-based singer songwriter. She plays bass and rhythm guitar.

Her childhood had a soundtrack. Her mother listened to music incessantly; mostly "show tunes", but also the top-40 radio of the day. The show tunes taught LorE how to write songs that told stories, and through the pop songs she gained an innate understanding of structure and "hooks".

Other early influences were The Beatles, The Doors, Carole King, Neil DIamond, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon and Garfunkel, and Fleetwood Mac.

LorE is dedicated to the studies of spirituality, transformation, and personal growth. "Because We Chose This" is a song cycle with the intent of being a cathartic and healing experience for the listener. From the opening track, "Something Else", a bold declaration of individuality and independence, the album explores the many challenges of identity and relationship. The closing track, "For Real", completes the cycle with the promise of acceptance and unconditional love.
