ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Direct to you from the verdant green rain forests of south-western British Columbia, Lori Paul and Spiderlodge offer up this new collection of tail shakin' tunes inspired by remote rural places and the work-worn faces of those who reside there. Multi-instrumentalist Rick Genge performs acoustic and electric guitars, bass, accordion, banjo and dobro in tribute to the great country players who came before us while Clay Thornton performs cajon, tambourine, spoons, washboard and other percussion in lieu of a drum kit to capture a rich and traditional rootsy feel. Vocalist/lyricist Lori Paul is a storyteller who relays songs of survival and redemption as told by salt-of-the-earth mothers, sisters and the hard-livin' rounders they can't help but love.
