Awakening

by Elizabeth Lorrey

A dark blend of edgy, intense acoustic rock. Slow-cooked, finely seasoned, with a hint of Suzanne Vega simmering in The Cure.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Awakening" is Elizabeth's first solo effort after years of fronting indie rock bands. A masterpiece
This is a must-have for anyone who appreciates outstanding music. The well-crafted sound is based in the perfect layering of instruments and voice. The lyrics are sensitive and soul-searching, taking you on an amazing journey. If this is her first effort, I can't wait for the next album!

My New Obsession
Awakenings, aptly titled, stirs the senses alive with its haunting instrumentals, beautifully crafted lyrics and vocals that breathe life into each track. I love how Elizabeth seamlessly weaves her velvety vocals among the instrumentals to create powerful expressions of fear, acceptance, integrity, rebirth. With hints of The Cure, Suzanne Vega and Sarah McLachlan but with refreshing originality just the same, Awakenings is an amazing debut and my new obsession.
