Meanwhile I listend to the CD "SPANISH BLOOD" and find it an excellent CD,"Andalucia","Jezabel" and "Lady of Spain" sound as you heard it never before. In fact counts that for the whole CD,which sounds really Spanish and is excellent produced, recorded and masterized by Eduardo Bartrina. A real "must" for every instrumental guitarfreak collector.

...one of the best Flamenco -Rock guitar albums ever made.
Unquestionably Spain´s influence classical and flamenco guitars traditions had a unique influence on so many 60´s guitar instrumental groups including The Shadows who recorded dazzling instrumental covers of Spanish favourites like "Granada","Adios muchachos" and "The breeze and I". With the beat group phenomenon taking hold wordlwide at the dawn of the 60´s several fines groups were emerging in Spain at that time including Los Jets-a group currently enjoying their 45th anniversary in 2003. Los Jets were founded in 1958 as Los 4 Jets by brothers Jose Maria and Santiago Gonzalez. The early Los 4 Jets lineup scored huge hits in Spain, including three early 60´s number one tracks:"Zorongo Gitano","Guitarra enamorada" and "Serenata Huasteca". Although they broke up during the mid 60´s,in 1981-with Santiago Gonzalez and steemed drummer Eduardo Bartrina-they reunited as Los Jets and over the years they´ve made lots of excllent recordings including their 1988 masterpiece "Vuelo rasante". In 2003,15 years after "Vuelo rasante",founder and rhythm guitarrist Santiago Gonzalez,Eduardo Bartrina (drums),Javier Honrubia (keyboards),Michel Martinez(lead guitar) and Antonio Reyes (bass guitar),have recorded possibly the greatest Los Jets album ever."In addition to the rock instrumental adaptations of music by classical mastres like Isaac Albeniz and F.G,Lorca-not to mention a tasty Los Jets instro version of the Doc Pomus & Mort Shuman classic "Spanish Lace"-the group´s original tracks also say a lot about the high quality guitar approach Eduardo and Santiago brings to the mix here. Lead guitarrist Michel Martinez shines on a number of Spanish Blood tracks, perfectly emulating that clear as a bell guitar quality Hank Marvin had on that first full leght Shadows studio album from 1961.If you are reading these notes with the CD on.surely you don´t need any further convincing, and if you haven´t heard it yet...turn up the volume and enjoy one of the best Flamenco-rock guitars albums ever made.

May be the finest Los Jets album ever
Spanish Blood may be the finest Los Jets album ever.Featuring the masterful drumming of Eduardo Bartrina and the meticulous guitar sound of Michel Martinez, the 16 track 2003 CD is filled with memorable tracks that draws on Spanin´s guitar heritage while also incorporating the classic instro-pop guitar sound,of 60´s groups such as The Shadows and The Ventures. Higlights include a spireted lead of track,"Don Quijote",new version of "Andalucia"(The breeze and I),and "Lady of Spain" and a dazzling instro cover of the Doc Pomus-Mort Shuman classic "Spanish lace".

Anothe fine CD from Los Jets
Another fine CD from Los Jets, and as you would expect from the tittle lot´s of exciting Spanish sounds. Sort of Shadows meets Flamenco. The majority of the tunes are great but unknown to me,but I enjoyed the ones I know,"The breeze and I","Jezabel"," Spanish lace" and equally important, "Lady of Spain". Don´t worry I feel sure these Flamenco-Rock songs will soon grow on you. I was impresed with the CD booklet, each song give details of the instruments used on the recording along with photographs of the guitars used as well. Most impressive indeed

really impressed
....really impressed with the playing and the production, very professional which of course Los Jets always are.
