ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Many complements have been received over the years on the ballads from our CD’s. I started to write quite a few more during 2010 and 2011 so decided to release this CD simply titled “Ballads.” Included are 4 of our previously released ballads plus 6 newly written tunes. Everything is original and I have also included the lyrics for all songs. This CD is quite a different offering from our previous releases!

The Players:

Brett Piekarz - Bass, Co-Producer and Studio Engineer

Leo Sullivan - Tenor Sax and Flute

Gary Craig, Franko Woodcock, Enrique Loyola - Drums

Bryden Baird - Trumpet

Steve McDade - Flugelhorn

Grant Slater, Martin Alex Aucoin, John Marmora, Attila Fias - Organ

The Tunes:

1. You Stole My Heart Away - story about love gone wrong

2. My Baby Blue - bluesy ballad - previously released January, 2005 on “Lou D”

3. Cold Day In New Brunswick - written in Bertrande’s living room looking out at a cold day in November

4. Come To Me - rock and roll pop type number with a bit of a country feel

5. Believe - believing in yourself and in love - previously released April, 2006 on “Slow Down”

6. Take My Hand - love that is lost and then found

7. Share My Life - a love song - previously released September, 2008 on “Mister Eclectic”

8. Babies In The Nest - all about the innocence of children - when they are born they know nothing of the world they are living in and it is up to us to show them the proper path

9. I Belong - tune about all those that are picked on and bullied throughout their lives for being different

10. Comin’ Home - searching for the path - previously released April, 2006 on “Slow Down”

Special thanks to my kids (Kim and Chris), grandkids (Daniel, Tyler, Dylan, Alisha and Devan), Bertrande, Jodie, Darryll, John Bradley, Bob Putignano, Lindsay Casey, Heidi Schlitt, Dave Perry, George Graves, Natalie Starr, Fred Duvall, Kyle Spooner, Dave Smith, Brittaney Piekarz, Steve Tiffault, Bryan Hewitt, Gilles Manuel and to all those that come out and support us live.
