Album Notes
Perhaps one of Love Syndicate's own lyrics best captures why this Philadelphia based band is making waves in the world of music.

"When you're in dire need for something real"

The soul and funk-inspired rhythms, breathtakingly mournful cello arrangements and painfully honest lyrics are a true break from the norm - a challenge from Love Syndicate to music itself to embrace passion in every note, in every verse..

For guitarist, lead singer and poet Josh Komorowski, writing and performing music was not as much a choice as it is his destiny. Love Syndicate's signature sound is the only way to hear the music that plays in the mind of Komorowski; whether solo, duo, quartet or legion of players, Love Syndicate performs what Komorowski dreams. Komorowski's voice, verse, composition, and passion lead Love Syndicate's challenge to music. The intertwining of his heartbreaking, raw lyrics and the haunting cello from Erin Ryan never fails to captivate the hearts of the audience. Ryan's groundbreaking style, based on years of classical training and a gleeful willingness to break all the rules, has made her one of the most sought after studio musicians in Philadelphia. Her latest work on G Love and the Special Sauce should be released in early 2003.

Love Syndicate has just released their first independent Studio Album, "Songs of Innocence and Experience". Recorded at Studio 4, Mixed and Mastered by the legendary Producer Phil Nicolo (John Lennon, Santana), "Songs of Innocence and Experience" is the first glimpse of a multitude of upcoming studio projects for Love Syndicate.

Album Description:
"Etched into the fluid ocean of music, "Songs of Innocence and Experience" somberly floats its audience through the passion created in each note. One is drawn into its waters by the sheer warmth and sincerity of the music. Be it wading through the pools of poetic melodies or sailing the waves of their honest emotion, these songs of innocence and experience become an album of its time but timeless in its nature."

Just plain beautiful music.
A flat out excellent album. Josh's singing isn't as expressive as on their live album and occasionally the mix is a little flat but that doesn't keep me from listening to it on a daily basis. Great songs, great production, and a truly wonderful listening experience.

Both Cd's left me SPEECHLESS!
I used to go to the gryphon when I was a freshman in college, and watch love syndicate play. I was amazed by there sound. They have such a rich sound and I could listen to there CD actually for the rest of time. Also I recently went to the gryphon to see a friend for open mic night and josh was there and he played in the beginning and that's what made me buy his solo CD....Hats off Josh you really are a musician that I look up to and hope to be like some day.

wow! i cant nearly express what this cd does for me. the songs are so professionally produced and whatnot... but the songs are amazing. the band sounds so together and at peace. it has been in my stereo since the day i bought it which was the night it came out. everyone needs some love syndicate in their DAILY lives. drums, excellent! cello, beautiful! bass, so hip! guitar/voice, outstanding! if youre reading this right now and don't have this cd... BUY IT NOW! if you do already have it, buy another and share love syndicate with someone you love.

There are no words to describe it
The music they produced is incredible. There is no real way of saying how amazing this cd is. I love everything on it. I don't think music can get any better than this.

It was awesome....I have been seeing them play for about 4-5 years!!!
Iremember seeing them over and over again at Abilene's on South Street and Am going to be going to the show in Paoli in August. Me and a couple of me friends think thay are talentefd beyond belief!!!!!
hugs aimee

Great but I prefer the rawness of the earlier home produced discs.
The new CD is perhaps too highly refined. The musicianship is as always wonderful.Lyrically, I find the tunes not as immediately gripping. When I first heard ABSENCE, I had to see the band and get the CD. The new songs don't get me like that, I wish they did. Don't rush the process, you have great talent. Looking forward to more new material!
